Bigg Boss Malayalam is the Malayalam-language version of the reality TV program, Bigg Boss broadcast in India. This follows the Big Brother arrangement, which was originally developed by Endemol inside the Netherlands. The winner of Bigg Boss Malayalam 1 from the program was Sabumon Abdusamad, that beat Pearle Maaney to clinch the title. Also, season 2 will premiere via the end of 2019.

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1

Bigg Boss Malayalam 1 opening season of Indian reality TV program Bigg Boss Malayalam premiered on June 24, 2018, on Asianet also concluded on September 30, 2018, completing 98 days. Veteran actor Mohanlal remains the host of the program. For the first season, a splendid home had been set up in Lonavala. The winner will be awarded a prize worth ₹1 crore (US$140,000).

The program is continuing on the Asianet channel & is also available on VOD including OTT platform Hotstar. Unusual latest elements called ‘Unseen’, ‘Spicy specials’ and also ‘Bigg Boss Plus’ were introduced by way of unseen also extra footage uploaded on Hotstar. Bigg Boss Plus is aired on Asianet Plus and shows part of the day that wasn’t included in the episode, from ‘wake-up call’ to ‘lights out’.

The program opened its grand finale on September 30, 2018, saying Sabumon Abdusamad as the winner of the 1st Bigg Boss Malayalam season, while Pearle Maaney was the runner-up. The opposite finalists Shiyas Kareem, Srinish Aravind &nAristo Suresh (in finishing order).
